Size and Construction of MYOHO BEADS
SIZE AND CONSTRUCTION
I am creating MYOHO BEADS with 6mm and 4mm beads. These are about the size of our large wood or plastic ones. Everyone who has purchased them, has no problem adjusting to the size and length regardless of what size they have been using, because MYOHO BEADS are so fabulous to chant with!
From top to bottom: SGI small juzu, SGI large juzu, MYOHO BEADS jumbo size, and MYOHO BEADS regular.
If you have really large hands and desire longer, jumbo juzu, please contact me and I will order and create your juzu with 8mm and 6mm beads. These will be big and long and may be just what you want. They will cost more because the larger the bead the higher the price from my suppliers. Remember gemstones are more dense than wood or pastic making them heavier too.
All of MYOHO BEADS are “politically correct” with regards to the number of beads, knots, etc. Regardless of the bead sizes, they all have the same bead count and position.
The biggest challenge for me was finding the correct substance to string juzu beads on. I tried everything available! Beginning with several different kinds of beading strings, including silk, to every available thread known to mankind, even several crochet threads. Nothing satisfied my needs because they all had side-effects, like stretching, ugly knots, or they broke. I came to realize that our juzu beads take as much abuse as our shoes!
Finally after almost a year of RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT, and a lot of Diamoku, I found just exactly what I needed. I knew the minute I touched it that it would work perfectly, and it does. It’s strong, doesn't stretch, doesn't break. Obstacle overcome!!!
I have researched everything I can get my hands and eyes on to comprehend the “what's and whys,” regarding juzu beads. If you know anything about them that I haven’t addressed on this site, please contact me because I am interested in any information you have.
