Caring for Your Juzu Beads
Caring for Your Juzu Beads
CARING FOR YOUR JUZU BEADSThese juzu beads are more delicate than our familiar plastic or wood ones, so care should be taken to NOT DROP them and to NOT RUB them together. If you are a “rubber,” and are chanting with passion, you might want to pick up an old set of wood or plastic ones so you can rub them as much as you want to. Rubbing juzu beads can damage the stones, pearls and glass beads and cause the string to break.I urge you to take them with you to meetings. Make sure your bead bag is large enough to carry them in.Wrap them in your fukusa, like you would roll up a burrito. Lay your juzu near the bottom diagonally, fold up the bottom flap, fold in the sides, and roll them up loosly and off you go! When at home, keep them lying flat to ensure their longevity.Laying them flat on a towel, you can easily clean them with a slightly wet sponge or cloth and then buff them dry with the towel. Please enjoy chanting with your new MYOHO BEADSfor many years to come! |
